Breaking - NLM: Extraordinary Form, Basilica of the National Shrine, Upper Church

Note: This post was edited to avoid confusion. Hat Tip to Matthew!

Last year, I received email word (which proved to be unconfirmed and erroneous) that Dario Cardinal Castrillón Hoyos would celebrate a TLM at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. This proved to be incorrect which was embarrassing for me.

The NLM confirms tonight, however, that the Cardinal President Emeritus of the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, will celebrate the TLM on April 24th, 2010 at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C at 1:00 PM in the Upper Church. The calendar for the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception carries the announcement for this event.

This is an event of momentous occasion and I pray that the
Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is filled to capacity. Laus Deo!

  1. It isn't the National Cathedral. It's the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
