Local TLM News Updates, July 1st

I have received several emails from sources, and here is an update about TLM Masses in Arlington and D.C.

There will be three Low Masses offered tomorrow (July 2nd) for the second class feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary on First Friday. 1) 8 a.m. at Saint Mary’s in Washington, D.C.; 2) 7:30 p.m. at Saint Mary’s in Old Town Alexandria, Va.; and 7:30 p.m. at Saint Louis in the Fairfax County section of Alexandria, Va. (The Mass in Old Town will likely contain an announcement on the future of the liturgy there...)

First Saturday (third class, Saint Irenaeus) offers two options for Mass – 1) 9 a.m. Low Mass followed by Benediction and Rosary at Saint Mary’s in Washington, D.C.; and 2) 12 noon - a Missa Cantata at Holy Spirit in Annandale, Va.

There will be a daily low traditional Mass at noon from July 5th to July 9th (inclusive). The regular Monday night traditional low mass at 7:30 will also take place. Two traditional masses on the same day! The masses take place at St. Johns in Mclean as part of the training week for altar boys conducted by two seminarians of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter. The celebrants of the masses will be the three priests assigned to St. Johns.
