Beauty of Traditional Latin Mass to be celebrated in Berks County, PA Beginning Palm Sunday

Beauty of Traditional Latin Mass to be celebrated in Berks County, PA Hat/Tip: Eric The Traditional Latin Mass, steeped in faith and grace, will be celebrated at St. Mary, Reading the second Sunday of each month, beginning with the beautiful liturgy of Palm Sunday, April 13 at 1 p.m. in the basement chapel. “If you attend the Traditional Latin Mass, you really get a sense of being in the presence of the Lord,” said Robert Wert, a member of the committee that brought the idea to fruition. “There’s majesty, an air of holiness. Once you’ve experienced it, you tend to crave it.” Father Gregory Karpyn, chaplain at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, in residence at Sacred Heart, West Reading, will be celebrant. Father Karpyn also ministers at Holy Rosary, Reading and is chaplain to the Third Order Lay Carmelites in Reading. Wert and his wife Mary, parishioners of St. Ignatius Loyola, Sinking Spring, had been attending the Traditional Latin Mass every other week for more than two years
