Visitors ask...TLM Vocations Blog (or Traditional Vocations Blog, etc., etc.)

Okay, here is a quick check on how to make the most out of this blog. Someone was looking for "TLM vocations blog." The Google search engine plopped them here, and away they went. If you look in the right menu , you'll find this title, " Traditional Vocations Blog ." Aha! So, I posted something on this blog at some point and when I do, I usually mention that I have added it to the right menu "Blogroll and Favorite Websites." As Paul Harvey would say, "that's the rest of the story!" Check out the Tradional Vocations Blog. It has a ton of good things including links to every conceivable Traditional religious order. If the original searcher had gone to the upper left where it says, "search" and entered "traditional" and "blog" , I bet the correct link would have shown up in the list of items returned ( like here !) We have everything on this blog someplace (or will eventually, Lord willing)... We eve

NLM: Fr. Paul and his St. Peter's Singers

Jeffrey Tucker has some fine commentary on the story in the Toronto Globe and Mail that was posted too by Aristotle A. Esguerra in an earlier post (see below). Mr. Tucker goes into a bit more detail in his commentary. It seems that the Vatican Choir is in excellent hands!

Catholic World News: Syrian leader invites papal visit

Catholic World News is reporting that "Sheik Ahmad Badereddine Hassoun, the grand mufti of Syria, told reporters that he hoped the Pope would visit "in the footsteps of St. Paul." He volunteered to travel to Rome to help the Pontiff prepare for such a trip." Interesting!

The Hermeneutic of Continuity: English bishop receives standing ovation at traditional liturgy conference

Father Tim Finigan (or "His Hermeneuticalness" as Fr. Zuhlsdorf refers to him) has written an excellent post on the wrap-up of the Liturgical conference at Merton . Don't miss the amiable summary. It is heartening that Bishop McMahon, Bishop of Nottingham, was highly supportive of this conference and came to speak to the attendees. In his speech, Bishop McMahon unequivocally affirmed his support for Summorum Pontificum , for the liturgical "project" of Pope Benedict and for a conference at which priests were learning to celebrate the usus antiquior of the Roman Rite. Excellent! Read the story here .
