• Editor's Special Liturgical Note:  In the Missale Romanum 1962, the Vigil of the Nativity takes precedence over the Fourth Sunday of Advent.  As such, the  1st Class Mass for Sunday is Missa 'Hódie  Sciétis' and the Fourth Sunday of Advent is not even commemorated on Sunday.   Christmas begins at  Midnight Sunday with the "Mass at Midnight" (In Nativitate Domini in nocte), Missa 'Dóminus Dixit'.  Masses then continue at dawn and during the day.
