The Divine Life: New ADW Weekly TLM at St. John Neumann Church in Gaithersburg, MD - February 21st, 2010

Many of you will notice that I have been linking to a very nice blog entitled, The Divine Life , written by Eric Sammons. Today, he posted the following : On an even more local note, the pastor of my own parish, St. John Neumann in Gaithersburg, MD , will begin celebrating the Extraordinary Form of the Mass weekly at 5pm on Sundays starting on Feb. 21st (the First Sunday in Lent). He will begin by celebrating the low mass, and he hopes to move to a Missa Cantata (basically a low mass with a choir) by Easter. If you are in the area, try to make an effort to attend! I asked him to confirm this and he has. You will notice it is now listed in the menu of the TLM Masses in the region. This is great news! Laus Deo!

Excellent News on the TLM from the ADW and on the Practicum to Train Priests in the Usus Antiquior

I received the email below from a friend in Maryland. Please check out the photos of the Practicum held in the Archdiocese of D.C. and the First Mass by Fr. White. I am delighted to post such excellent news! Thanks, JR! You should be aware of the following: Pictures from the ADW Practicum for the Extraordinary Form : and First Mass by Father White Father White attended the practicum referred to in the first post. I believe another priest who attended will be celebrating his first mass this Sunday in southern Maryland. It would be good if you posted these on your blog. The posts are from the blog, Meeting Christ in the Liturgy, done by a local priest and Navy Chaplain . I don’t know his name. You may know him. Now that something is happening in the ADW, I think it would be good to publicize the masses said by these 15 priests to increase attendance and give them encouragement. JR
