A New Blog That is Something Special...

A good friend sent me this link, and I will be following the blog as of tonight. It details the life of a Priest from the Diocese of Scranton who is now living in the Mississippi delta and will be assisting by saying daily Mass for the Lockport Dominicans, a cloistered Order. Check it out! The blog is called Scranton South .

Visitors ask...Religious Orders: Carmelites, Benedictines, Franciscans, Cistercians, Dominicans

A recurring "search term" which lands people on this blog is a term for any of a number of Religious Orders--especially those which continue to celebrate the TLM or the Usus Antiquior (or those living in Abbeys or Monasteries). The FAQs section of this blog is geared to answer recurring questions . That would include quite a few things. For Religious Orders, go here . I have tried to assemble as many Orders as I can find (including a "search form" for the Benedictines which is quite useful). Those seeking "Carmelites" can now find an ultimate destination, I pray. Monasteries and Abbeys Online

I am often "searched" for the location of a particular Abbey or Monastery online (and usually within the United States). I have just located two delightful websites! Both links have been added to the Favorites Sites in the right menu! This site is the official Order of Saint Benedict website which has a "search form" for locating Abbeys, Monasteries and Schools . This site is courtesy of Dr. Deborah Vess of Georgia College and State University. It has Monasteries located worldwide categorized by Religious Order and location . It is also marvelous!
