Saint Louis Catholic: Adorers of the Royal Heart of Jesus Christ Sovereign Priest to Establish Community in St. Louis

I missed this story but the link was sent to me via email : There is exciting news today from the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest for the faithful in the United States, and particularly for those in St. Louis. The Institute's order of religious sisters, the Adorers of the Royal Heart of Jesus Christ Sovereign Priest are planning to establish a house at St. Francis de Sales Oratory. Read the entire story here . It is fabulous news!

Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest

A frequent search item is " Latin Mass Retreat ." This is not an easy item to address. I have searched Una Voce-North America and other resources to no avail. The obvious answer is to seek out a Monastery that still uses the Extraordinary Form or to seek out one of the major TLM Societies such as the F.S.S.P. The Institute of Christ the King is a treasure I have not cited often . A quick survey reveals its apostolates are largely in the Midwest, although there are new apostolates in both California and New Jersey! The key of this Institute is the Extraordinary Form or Traditional Latin Mass . Note that there is a Society of the Sacred Heart within the Institute and one way for laity to become involved is via the Oblates shown here . Newsletters are free, and I love the "adopt a seminarian" concept. This is a website worth checking out!

Visitors ask...Traditional Latin or Tridentine Mass Online (YouTube)

I am still getting searches for a TLM online (especially from international venues). As you know, the FSSP is offering a free DVD of the TLM to all priests and seminarians in North America and is discounted for all others . The link is on the FSSP website . This is a nice collection from the Vivat Jesus blog . YouTube has links to shorts snips from a Mass celebrated by the Institute of Christ the King, Sovereign Priest in the St. Louis Cathedral . Note that the links are divided into: Part I, Procession - Introit, Kyrie, Gloria - Collect - Commemoration, Epistle, Tract, Gospel.

Sober Inebriation: Interview with Msgr. Schmitz, Institute of Christ the King, Chicago

Sober Inebriation carries another marvelous interview. This time it is with Monsignor Michael Schmitz, Vicar General of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. Adam Raha does his usual sterling job. Go here .
