Visitors ask...Where Can I Find a Latin Mass?

This has been answered before but I will have another shot at answering it. This blog tries to keep track of the Traditional Latin (Gregorian or Usus Antiquior ) Mass in the area near the state of Maryland. The link to this post is here and tracks Masses in MD, DC, Northern VA (including Richmond), PA (eastern), WV and DE . I try to keep this info up-to-date. That is because things are fluid. For example, the TLM Mass is offered at St. James the Greater in Charles Town, WV when the Canons of the New Jerusalem are in the area. So, this is listed in the Right Menu under TLM Masses as "occasional ." In the header above, you will see Ecclesia Dei-TLMs . The Coalition in Support of Ecclesia Dei is the " sine qua non " for listing the TLM and does it quarterly. Anyone can go to their site and ask for the list to be sent quarterly. The Coalition lists Masses in every State and in Canada. The Fraternal Society of Saint Peter (F.S.S.P.) tracks its own Apostolates.

Holy Saturday, April 11th, 2009 - I Am Looking for An Easter Mass, A Vigil Mass, Propers for Easter!

STOP! Don't Leave!!!! Let me help!!!! This blog can help. Notice that right above in the Blue Field called the "header," where it says "TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS IN MARYLAND," there are hyperlinks. Those go to locations. So, if you are looking for the Propers for the Vigil or Easter , click #3! If you are looking for a Traditional Latin Mass or Extraordinary Form Mass , click #1. If you are looking for a Mass outside of Maryland (that means you landed here from Kansas, New York, California), click #2. You can Google again, but many land here later...I know that from experience! One gem is called MassTimes.org . It is fantastic because it is International and will locate a specific Church in your area, or a time for Mass to begin, or what language Mass it is in! Finally, if you go down the UPPER RIGHT SIDE of this menu (over here-->>), I do have some parishes linked that offer the Latin Mass (Novus Ordo) or the TLM. For those in this are

Mass - Ash Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Okay, I'm getting hundreds of requests. If you are in the Archdiocese of Baltimore , look here. The instructions are fairly straightforward. If you are in the Archdiocese of Washington, check the Blogroll and Favorites menu on the right menu bar. The AD of DC has a website and it too lists ALL parishes . If you are from outside the region, look at the header which contains the name "Traditional Latin Mass in Maryland." There is text which reads MassTimes.org . Click that hyperlink and simply state where you are. It will locate parishes everywhere in the US, Canada and even internationally. You will simply have to state that you are seeking a Holy Day and look at the websites which come back to you. That's the best I can do, friends! Good hunting!

Visitors ask....Latin Mass in England and Wales or in Ireland

Cardinal Castrillon-Hoyos has set off a huge storm of interest in the TLM or "Gregorian Form" in England, Wales and even Ireland. To find these Masses, go to The Latin Mass Society of England & Wales or the Latin Mass Society of Ireland . Both sites are very helpful. Be sure to check for the "extras!"
