Mass Readings for - Sunday, May 25th, 2008 in the US - Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ

In the United States, most Dioceses will follow the custom of celebrating the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) on the 25th. Here are the Mass readings for Sunday for the Novus Ordo Mass. This "widget" is free, by the way, from www.catholiccontent.com as are others which you can place on any desktop or in a browser. The content changes daily, of course, and is free. The TLM Mass for the Second Sunday after Pentecost, ' Missa Factus Est Dominus ,' is found here .

Spring Destinations: National Shrine Grotto of Lourdes, Emmitsburg, MD

I have written before on the National Shrine Grotto of Lourdes in Emmitsburg, MD located just above the campus of Mt. St. Mary's University . The link is within the Favorite Websites and Blogroll in the right menu. As it is Spring and the month of Mary, May, visitors begin to contemplate visiting the Shrine in force. I also posted a far different story about Belmont Abbey College [click here] in North Carolina which has a Monastery on its premises. It turns out--a surprise to me--that the Belmont Abbey Monastery [click here] has a beautiful Grotto of Lourdes as well. People searching for that Grotto, sadly, are directed to a story on the health benefits of the employees at Belmont Abbey College! So, I did some research and found a marvelous website from the University of Dayton that lists the Marian Shrines in the United States . As I glance at this list, I am in awe about how many Marian Shrines there are! Every state seems to be listed. So, if you want to know about the Marian Shrines in Maryland, the
