Visitors ask...Sunday Mass in Annapolis or at the Naval Academy

Annapolis, Maryland is a favorite site for visitors to Maryland. First, the city is the State capitol with all the attendant State buildings including the Governor's Mansion and historic locales (the State House). Second, it is located on the beautiful Severn River with its historic "city dock." Finally, it is the home of the United States Naval Academy which graduates Naval and Marine Corps officers for the U.S. military. Visitors often search for "Mass schedule, Naval Academy." That is a problem in a way. First, the Chaplains at the Academy minister to over 4,000 men and women of all Faiths and they take first precedence for liturgies. Second, it is a military installation and under the Archdiocese of the United States Military Services. So, while visits are encouraged, the Liturgical Schedule is very much for "in house" purposes unless one has been invited to a specific event.
