The Hermeneutic of Continuity: English bishop receives standing ovation at traditional liturgy conference

Father Tim Finigan (or "His Hermeneuticalness" as Fr. Zuhlsdorf refers to him) has written an excellent post on the wrap-up of the Liturgical conference at Merton . Don't miss the amiable summary. It is heartening that Bishop McMahon, Bishop of Nottingham, was highly supportive of this conference and came to speak to the attendees. In his speech, Bishop McMahon unequivocally affirmed his support for Summorum Pontificum , for the liturgical "project" of Pope Benedict and for a conference at which priests were learning to celebrate the usus antiquior of the Roman Rite.
