Special: FSSP and EWTN Produce Training DVD; Free for priests in North America

The DVD is a training video for the Usus Antiquior with an introduction by Cardinal Castrillon-Hoyos . As Shawn states: The first DVD contains the introduction by Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos, followed by a "comprehensive explanation of the entire ceremony of Low Mass..." NLM: CDW: Amato in and Ranjith out? Maybe not. (Breaking news)

Shawn Tribe of The New Liturgical Movement is providing a totally new slant to a story that has been surrounded by rumors (and some disappointment among those who greatly admire Archbishop Malcolm Ranjith). Tonight, he breaks the story that the sources that predicted moves are backing down (Fr. Zuhsdorf stated that the Italian story might be taken with a "grain of salt"). Apparently, Shawn is proving that to be true...for now at least. Read his piece !

NLM: Cardinal Medina Estévez interviewed by Petrus

Shawn Tribe of the New Liturgical Movement carries part of a fascinating interview from Petrus . The interview is with Chilean Cardinal Jorge Arturo Medina Estévez, Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments from 1998 to 2002. Here are two small snippets: Eminence, some inside of the Church continue to oppose the Motu Proprio 'Summorum Pontificum'… "Unfortunately it is true, but it is also necessary to remember that the Mass according to the rite of St. Pius V has never been abolished and though it is currently considered 'extraordinary', it has the same right to citizenship in the Church and the same dignity as the 'Novus Ordo' of Paul VI. It should be remembered that the bishops who were opposed to Motu Proprio of Benedict XVI are perfectly free to express their opinions civilly, but, ultimately, are required to be obedient and respect for the Pope, who is the only universal pastor of the Holy Roman Church...&q

Be sure to read the comments as other members of the Curia are ordaining Deacons in what appears to be a show of support for the Usus Antiquior .
