WDTPRS: The Tablet reacts to Card. Castrillon’s Mass and remarks in London

Father Zuhlsdorf posts an article from the Tablet (U.K.) by Elena Curti concerning Cardinal Castrillon's comments at his impromptu press conference . It is a very interesting post.

Evening Roundup for WDTPRS: Thursday, April 24th, 2008

There is a lot "brewing" today on Fr. Zuhlsdorf's blog, " What Does the Prayer Really Say "? Here is just a sampling: " A priest teaches his flock about the TLM - this guy really gets it !" " Florida Alert: Tallahassee TLM - June 8 " " EWTN's Raymond Arroyo reacts to comments about coverage of the Papal visit " " UK 15 Nov '08 - confirmations with the old Pontifical " " These are my mother's flavors " (Papal must read)

The Catholic Herald: Why everyone logs on to ‘Father Z’

The Catholic Herald, Britain's leading Catholic newspaper, carries a wonderful story on Fr. John Zuhlsdorf, author of the blog, "What Does the Prayer Really Say ?" The story helps to explain why this "tiny" blog carries a link to his blog on its Blogroll and his "Feedburner Stream" linking to his articles. Read it and enjoy !

England’s seminaries are all pretty much in the same mould: Left-leaning, liturgically trendy, politically correct, therapy-obsessed and terrified of a younger generation of conservative Catholics. Most of them would rather teach Unitarian circle-dancing than the Tridentine Mass. But they may not have much choice. The pontifical commission Ecclesia Dei, unimpressed by certain bishops’ sour response to the liberation of the Latin Mass, realises that there is a shortage of priests who know how to celebrate the complicated ancient liturgy. Since demand for it is rising, semina
