Pilgrimage of Restoration to the National Basilica of the Immaculate Conception

I am deeply indebted to my email friend, "J." for sending this along. This year the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter will be making their annual pilgrimage of reparation to the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC, to thank Our Lady, patroness of America for all the graces she has showered upon us, particularly in the recent visit of his Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, and to make reparation for all the sins of our nation. Concluding their 3-day pilgrimage along the C&O canal, the kind permission of the Rector, Msrg. Rossi, having been granted, they will celebrate a Solemn High Mass on the main altar of the Crypt chapel in the Basilca at 6 pm, Saturday, June 7th. The celebrant will be the newly ordained Rev. Jonathan Romanoski FSSP. All are welcome to attend, as the Crypt chapel will accomodate many. The F.S.S.P. post is here . Father Romanoski will celebrate a Solemn High Mass at St. Alphonsus Church as posted here.

Carmelites in Baltimore and Washington

I have had a number of souls seeking information on the Carmelite Order in the metro area. The Baltimore Carmel's website is here . The location is on Dulaney Valley Road in Towson, MD . This is a religious Order but I believe there is a Lay group attached. I would definitely contact these Sisters to inquire about a Lay affiliate . The National website lists this Lay Carmelite Community in Washington, DC . This is clearly an excellent starting point for further information.

Basilica of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception: Solemn High Mass, June 7th

My colleague who informs me of "all things Tridentine ," has sent this by email: There will be a Solemn High Mass in the Extraordinary Form ( Tridentine) on Saturday the 7th of June at 6 PM. This will NOT be in the Lady of Lourdes Chapel. Instead, it will be celebrated on the Main Altar in the Crypt Chapel of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C . This will be the concluding Mass of the Fraternity's pilgrimage. I will post more if and when I get an update .
