CNA: Homeland Security Report equates 'abortion opponents' with white supremacists

This story filed today by CNA ( CATHOLIC News Agency) should be filed in the "you'll be left speechless" category: According to a Homeland Security Report distributed to law enforcement organizations, abortion opponents are as great a threat to national security in the immediate future as white supremacists ... [...] The report describes "Rightwing extremism" broadly as “those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.” Under the title “Revisiting the 1990s,” the report claims that “paralleling the current national climate, rightwing extremists during the 1990s exploited a variety of social issues a

Visitors ask...Gregorian Society of Baltimore?

I have had a number of people looking for the Gregorian Society of Baltimore . Their search lands them here. The Gregorian Society of Baltimore is actually the local affiliate of Una Voce International , with ties to the Commission in Support of Ecclesia Dei . To complicate matters, their website has the URL or name: Ad Altare Dei ('to the altar of God'). The group is very active at Saint Alphonsus and on the local scene with regards to the TLM. We have a "reciprocal" arrangement. I list the site on the RIGHT MENU under Blogroll and Favorites as "The Gregorian Society of Baltimore." In turn, they list the URL to this blog . I hope you visit their website. And that is the "rest of the story!"

Sunday Mass Times for the Archdiocese of Baltimore

This link goes to the website of the Archdiocese of Baltimore . It is for Sunday Masses. All you need to do is to specific a "TIME" in the toggle box and the Parish having that Mass will show up. I would check to be sure that it is being held on Easter, but I am betting it will be. This goes to the Archdiocese of Washingto n and this goes to the Diocese of Arlington . Both have similar search boxes for Mass Times. Happy Easter and I hope you make Mass!

... "Why do you seek the living one among the dead...?

He is not here, but he has been raised. Remember what he said to you while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified, and rise on the third day." And they remembered his words... ( Luke 24: 5-8 ) USCCB Readings for Easter Day Wishing you a Happy and Holy Easter! He is risen! Alleluia! Alleluia!
