Traditional Latin Mass Calendar and How to Find It

Nothing is more sad than to see someone from a remote international location frantically "searching" for the Traditional Latin Mass Calendar on this blog site!

First, there is a link to the Traditional Calendar from Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in the blue "header" of this blog entitled, "Trad. Calendar-F.S.S.P." Clicking that link would take you here. Second, there are other alternatives such as this one.

Yesterday, I threw out an idea for a book entitled "Traditional Latin Mass for Dummies." I said that and I meant it. Today, I am throwing out another idea: a blog widget that gives the Traditional Latin Mass calendar for the day. I will be the first blog to post it, believe me!

In the meantime, here is the calendar for July courtesy of the F.S.S.P. (hat tip!)

  1. Of course, Deo, it is possible that a google search for the Trad calendar is what brings people to your site in the first place...

...don't knock it. Some of my readers arrive after searching for the lyrics to "Colours of Day"... boy, must they get a shock!!

  2. Mac, you are correct of course. Google archives items based on our titles, keywords, tags and even on the text within the blog. It also archives the items in the menus to the right, and on those placed in the header.

Hyperlinks within the header is fairly standard for websites, but is a bit of a "shock," I think, for blogs. That may explain why someone could land here, but not "find" the link! This despite the fact that the item is in the very header (these are the most "important" things sought).

I have to ponder about a redesign, perhaps, or hope that correcting such foiled searches begins to wane.

Thanks for your kind comments, Mulier Fortis!
