Traditional Latin Mass in Maryland

This is a response to an article by Damian Thompson that has made its way around the blogosphere . It is an excellent report and a MUST read especially for those who desperately want a TLM and don't know where to turn next. Fr. Zuhlsdorf has posted good advice for many of us.

In the roundup for yesterday evening, I indicated that a post by Fr. Zuhlsdorf on What Does the Prayer Really Say? was a "must read." It involved a detailed post concerning the Traditional Latin Mass by a distinguished Italian priest, Fr. Pierro Cantoni, who has an excellent take on Summorum Pontificum . Today, Fr. Zuhlsdorf has a post on a story by the Catholic Herald of the U.K. In short, as reported by WDTPRS , Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos has "reconfirmed" that priests do not need the permission of their Bishops to use the extraordinary form of the Mass. Shawn Tribe of the New Liturgical Movement announces that Seton Hall University has initiated celebration of the Novus Ordo Latin Mass on four consecutive Mondays at 6:00 PM (beginning yesterday, March 31st) and will celebrate a Solemn Tridentine Mass on Monday, April 28th.
