First Things - Pulling the Plug on the Conscience Clause by Wesley J. Smith

This blog often cites articles from " Secondhand Smoke ," the blog written by Wesley J. Smith on FIRST THINGS Online. This link is to an article in the December issue of the magazine, First Things . It is a sobering article and a must read. EWTN - World Over Live - Friday, March 6th, 2009 - Catholic Health Care Services

I just received an email informing me that EWTN TV's " World Over Live " with Raymond Arroyo will have the following lineup for Friday, March 6th at 8 PM EST : GUESTS Friday, March 6 (LIVE) Dr. John Brehany & Dr. Louis Breschi of The Catholic Medical Association on the proposed health care policy of the new administration and how it may affect Catholic health care services in the United States. Dr. Patricia Weitzell-O’Neill , the Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Washington, DC on the proposed defunding of the DC Opportunity Scholarship Program (school vouchers). In light of the Administration's decision to overturn the "conscience clause" for Christian Health Care providers, this may be a very enlightening show. Furthermore, the DC Scholarship has been a great success for poor children. The effect of this defunding may be devastating.
