Creative Minority Report: X-Files is a Hateful Anti-Catholic Movie

Here is a hat tip to Matthew Archbold who saved me at least $10 from seeing this movie . I admit, I was a fan of the first "X-Files" movie, watched the TV show on occasion and had planned to see this flick. However, Matthew's review was a money-saver. Gratias! By the way, Fr. Andrew is spot on...the movie is not doing very well.

Ten Star Edition: WDTPRS - UK: Card. Castrillon Hoyos - TLM in “Not many parishes – all parishes”!

Only time will tell, but we may mark this day as the coming of the Gregorian Rite . This is what Damian Thompson states that Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos of the PCED today called the "Usus Antiquior ." The news has been coming in all day, but Fr. Zuhlsdorf carries the latest comments on this story . The part he emphasized in his title is above: “ Not many parishes – all parishes ." He has an excellent commentary and gives a background to the story. The Creative Minority Report gives more "color" to how it happened . In a story called "The Moment - Damian Thompson Speaks," the background is described . It has been an astounding day: a Pontifical Mass at Westminster, the Cathedral packed to capacity, a press conference with Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos who assuredly speaks with the consent of His Holiness, and more information coming in to buttress the early reports. I find it incredible that as RORATE CAELI pointed out earlier, the Novus Ordo was

Tuesday Evening Report

I seem to have gotten into a Catholic education motif today for some reason. Apropos to that (or perhaps not) a couple of items caught my eye: American Papist has a wonderful story on what blogger Tom Peters calls a "shout out" by Pope Benedict XVI for Christendom College in Virginia. Bravo ! On the other hand, Creative Minority Report has a story about an Indiana University which shunned the advice and protests of the local Ordinary . Finally, Father Zuhlsdorf straightens out the confusion as to when the Feast of St. Joseph and the Feast of the Annunciation should be celebrated according to the 1962 Missale Romanum when the former falls during Holy Week . Busy day!

Creative Minority Report: Extraordinary Form On Long Island

A tip of the hat to Patrick Archbold of the blog, Summorum Pontificum . He links to a story on his blog, "Creative Minority Report," indicating that the TLM is soon returning to Long Island, New York . Please check the story. To quote Patrick, it is indeed good news for the Diocese of Rockville Centre!
