Evening Roundup - Second Sunday after Easter, April 6th, 2008

In the roundup for yesterday evening, I indicated that a post by Fr. Zuhlsdorf on What Does the Prayer Really Say? was a "must read." It involved a detailed post concerning the Traditional Latin Mass by a distinguished Italian priest, Fr. Pierro Cantoni, who has an excellent take on Summorum Pontificum . Today, Fr. Zuhlsdorf has a post on a story by the Catholic Herald of the U.K. In short, as reported by WDTPRS , Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos has "reconfirmed" that priests do not need the permission of their Bishops to use the extraordinary form of the Mass. The full details are here ! Must read . Finally, Fr. Zuhlsdorf has some beautiful photos and commentary on the TLM from Hanceville, AL for those unable to see the Missa Cantata this morning .
