Kala Garry posts an article in the "Mountain Echo"--the campus newspaper of Mount Saint Mary's in Emmitsburg, MD--on the Traditional Mass celebrated on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception as experienced from a "student's-eye" view. The article documents the experience of the Usus Antiquior from those who may never have seen one previously. While mostly unfamiliar with the EF, many Mount students joined the seminarians for the special celebration. Having grown up with the Norvus Ordo, most were lost between the quiet Latin prayers of the priest and the beautiful parts sung by the choir. Regardless, the reverence of the Mass brought many into a high form of worship. "It was an incredible experience," reflects sophomore Tricia Lester. "I don't even know how to put it into words. The Militia of the Immaculata is a Marian apostolate begun by St. Maximilian Kolbe in Rome.
