Third Sunday in Lent: Missa 'Oculi Mei' (EF) - March 15th, 2009

INTROIT ¤ Ps. 24. 15, 16 [STATION AT ST. LAWRENCE'S OUTSIDE THE WALLS] Oculi mei semper ad Dominum, quia ipse evellet de laqueo pedes meos: repice in me, et miserere mei, quoniam unicus et pauper sum ego. -- Ad te, Domine, levavi animam meam: Deus meus, in te confido, non erubescam. V.: Gloria Patri . . . -- Oculi mei semper ad Dominum . . . My eyes are ever towards the Lord: for He shall pluck my feet out of the snare: look Thou upon me, and have mercy on me; for I am alone and poor. -- ( Ps. 24. 1, 2). To Thee, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul: in Thee, O my God, I put my trust; let me be not ashamed. V.: Glory to the Father . . . -- My eyes are ever towards the Lord . . . Visitors ask..Latin Mass Readings or Readings for the Latin Mass or Daily Latin Mass Readings

This is one I have answered before on several occasions, but the Google "search string" is totally critical for locating the answer. To my knowledge, there is NO site online that has the daily LATIN readings for the TLM. It just doesn't exist as yet. However, a good Deacon has a site with the English Translations of the TLM for most days. Today, October 30th, and yesterday were Ferial Days, so only information on the saint was provided. However, here is an example of the readings for the Mass for Saints Simon and Jude for earlier this week . Note that you can subscribe to the RSS output for this site, or use the widget he provides. For English readers, it is a marvelous apostolate!

Latin Mass (TLM) Text (Canon) Online or Latin Mass Propers Online

I have dealt with this before, but I still have seekers who are probably looking for the daily or Sunday "Propers" of the Traditional Latin Mass ( TLM ; Extraordinary Form ) online . I say this because the actual Rubrics (and Canon) of the 1962 Missale Romanum is available on a number of forums. One beautiful form is the Sancta Missa site which is meant for education. Others are in the right menu under the Favorites rubric ( see Una Voce; parallel Latin/English Canon ). There is a site which posts the Propers for the TLM in English each day. However, to my knowledge, NO site has fully transposed all the changes of the Missale Romanum 1962 in agreement with the Missal of Pope John XXIII called for in Summorum Pontificum for Sunday Masses (let alone daily Masses). Only a Missal such as the Baronius (F.S.S.P. edition) or the Angelus Missal will be able to assist. There is one site which has begun a rather " Herculean task " and that is to post as many of

Latin Propers for "Low Sunday" or Missa Quasi Modo

I am indebted to the Tridentine Latin Rite Missal Project for the Latin translations . Note that only a Missal such as the Baronius (F.S.S.P. edition, Summorum Pontificum ) will have all the Latin text. This Sunday is called from the first words of the Introit, the Sunday of Quasimodo , or Sunday in Albis ( deponendis ), because the neophytes on that day put aside their white garments. In English the term Low Sunday is in contrast with Easter or High Sunday. Another Latin name Pascha clausum is preserved in the French: Paques closes and in the Dutch or Flemish: Beloken Pasen : close of Easter, this Sunday ending the Octave. -- Let us proclaim our faith in the risen Lord, and in His divine Presence in the Holy Eucharist. INTROIT ¤ I. Peter 2. 2 Quasi modo geniti infantes, alleluia: rationabiles, sine dolo lac concupiscite, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia. -- Exsultate Deo adjutori nostro: jubilate Deo Jacob. V.: Gloria Patri . . . Quasi modo . . . As newborn babes, alleluia, desire the
