Visitors ask...Traditional Latin Mass Propers...?

Update: August 17th, 2008: As you can see in the Comments, the blog, Venite, Missa Est! posts the Propers for the TLM in the right margin of the blog as a PDF file. I am adding this link to the Blogroll in the right margin. In due course, these files will be separated as to pages. That will be a great service. Tomorrow is the Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost in the Traditional Calendar. I know that because this link is present in the right margin and leads to the F.S.S.P.'s 2008 Liturgical Calendar . Some are looking for a full online version of the Latin Propers. One does not exist except in a written Missal such as the Baronius, Angelus, or one of those available from Aquinas and More. However, this site, the Traditional Latin Rite Missal Project (also found in the right margin) is the ongoing apostolate of one person who intends to put the entire Missal online. There is another site which is quite beautiful and maintained daily by a Catholic Deacon. It is the Tradi...

Visitors ask...Readings (English) for the Latin Mass (daily)

I have answered this question in other locations, but it is worth repeating. To my knowledge, there is no site that has all the Latin (plus English translations) of the Propers for Sundays and the daily TLM online that accords with the Missal of Pope John XXIII. The closest thing one can find is the Tridentine Latin Rite Missal Project which is the Herculean task of one man! Even that will need to be revised due to the Motu Proprio and its requirements. Some of the postings are out of date which explains why some events of Holy Week weren't posted here. An alternative is a good missal; Baronius and several other companies now sell them. They are usually called " Motu Proprio " editions (I believe EWTN now has one on its webpage). The final option, and it is a good one, is the Traditional Latin Mass Propers in English . This is the daily work of a Catholic Deacon who has even created a widget with the readings. Here is the Mass for today, the Feast of St. Ire...

A Gem of a Find - The Recovering Choir Director!

I found a beautiful site called "The Recovering Choir Director" or "Cantemus Domino.net ." Please examine the website by Aristotle A. Esguerra if you would like. It is a musical treasure trove of information especially regarding the Graduale Romanum . Here are the Propers for the Votive Mass of the Holy Spirit (with audio and translations according to the Graduale Romanum ) . The MP3 links are quite beautiful. I have been listening to the Introit, "Caritas Dei diffusa est " (Romans 5:5, 10-11; Psalm 102:1). It is absolutely marvelous! The site has been added to the Favorites and Blogroll in the right menu.

New Link Added to Blogroll: "TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS PROPERS IN ENGLISH"

A new link has been added to the "Blogroll and Favorite Websites." The site is called "TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS PROPERS IN ENGLISH. " RomanCatholic Deacon hopes to post English Propers each day for the TLM. For Latin Propers, the site under construction , Tridentine Latin Rite Missal Project is still the best bet. Hat Tip to both bloggers!
