The New Look...sort of "new"...

This is a very low budget operation, and I hope you don't mind. You won't be seeing any "tip jars." I did think some changes might help. There is now a menu in the header. "Home" means return back to the last thing posted. "TLM Masses" is what is in the right menu but I plopped them into a post for your convenience. "FAQs" is an ongoing list of "frequently asked things" I try to constantly update; click it and see what you come to. "About me" is my Blogger profile. "Ecclesia Dei TLMs" is linked in the right menu also; it is the official directory of TLM Masses being kept by the Coalition in Support of Ecclesia Dei and contains all known Masses in the U.S. and Canada by State/Province. Finally, "MassTimes.org" is also in the right menu and is placed in the header for those souls looking for a Mass somewhere nearby---anywhere; it is now in multiple languages and by City, Diocese, etc.

Recovering The Lost Art of Common Sense | Dale Ahlquist | An Excerpt from Common Sense 101: Lessons From G.K. Chesterton

Carl Olson has posted a delightful essay by Dale Ahlquist, author of "Recovering The Lost Art of Common Sense 101 ." Here is just a brief sneak peek: The most famous thing Chesterton said is something he didn't say. He is always quoted as saying that when a man stops believing in God he doesn't believe in nothing, he believes in anything. It is a great line, and it is well worth quoting, and I have no doubt that Chesterton would agree with it and would be pleased to hear it quoted. But it's just not what he said. What he said was, "The first effect of not believing in God, is that you lose your common sense." [1] Since the line never gets quoted correctly, let's quote it correctly again: "The first effect of not believing in God, is that you lose your common sense." That means that in order for us to recover our common sense, we have to recover our faith. In order for us to recover our faith we need religious renewal and reform. Histor
