My ever vigilant friend in West Virginia has alerted me to a series of Home School Conferences. The National Conference is scheduled for June 13th and 14th at the Dulles Expo and Conference Hall. On Saturday, June 14, Fr. Joseph Fessio will have two talks:

9:30-10:15 am Pope Benedict XVI and the Mass

"Learn about the themes from his classic text The Spirit of the Liturgy. What does pope Benedict XVI say about sacrifice, music, participation, kneeling, the tabernacle, adoration and the direction of prayer?"

3:00-3:45 pm Pope Benedict XVI and the Motu Proprio

"The Motu Proprio was not just a short-term solution to the problem of some schismatics and a few people with nostalgia for the old Mass. It is rather part of a plan to renew the whole Church, announced by the Holy Father the day after his election and based on principles he has expressed for years".
