CWNews.com: Little Rock diocese retracts criticism of Komen fundraiser

Catholic World News reports today that the Diocese of Little Rock has now retracted its criticism of the Komen Foundation. After more careful scrutiny, the Diocese (which is currently being run by an administrator) has been assured that none of the funds from the local affiliate are going to Planned Parenthood.

Some local affiliates of the Komen foundation do support Planned Parenthood, the Little Rock administrator said. He expressed his hope that foundation officials would reconsider those grants. But in Arkansas, he assured the faithful, "no grants are made to Planned Parenthood" through the "Komen for a Cure" organization.

Msgr. Hebert offered an apology to the Komen foundation for the February statement, and said that he was persuaded "these are good people highly dedicated to the finding a cure for breast cancer and preserving life; this is their only goal."
