GIA, Revised Grail Psalter, and Open Access: The New Liturgical Movement by Jeffrey Tucker

I have received a great number of inquiries of interest regarding my posts on the Revised Grail Psalter. As you know if you looked at follow-up stories, I posted the concerns of Jeffrey Tucker of the New Liturgical Movement who is a major force in Musica Sacra.

Today, Mr. Tucker received a response from GIA which will act as the agent for the copyright and the correspondence is posted here. This is of great concern for all of us (or it should be). Open access is mandatory for Liturgical texts that will be used in writing Sacred Music and cannot be the singular property of one agent. Artistic freedom is required so that we obtain the very best music possible to honor God.

Please see this message so you understand what is happening here.
