Juventutem Michigan - Traditional Latin Mass @ 40th March for Life, Friday, January 25, 2013

I was contacted on Facebook yesterday by Juventutem Michigan and asked to help them get out the word on a Sung Pontifical TLM Mass to follow the 40th March for Life in Washington, D.C.   Here is the link to their website.

"Shortly after the conclusion of the 40th March for Life in Washington, D.C., Catholics from across the nation will gather with Chicago auxiliary bishop, H.E. Joseph Perry, and members of Juventutem Michigan for a 6:00 p.m. Sung Pontifical Mass at St. Mary Mother of God Catholic Church. (This liturgy is variously known as the “Traditional Latin Mass,” “Tridentine Mass,” “Extraordinary Form Mass,” “Usus Antiquior,” etc.)


Date: Friday, January 25, 2013 – 6:00 p.m. – St. Mary Mother of God


The Mass is open to all ages. After Mass, clergy and young adults (18-35 years old) will gather nearby for fine conversation, an introduction to the International Juventutem Federation, and a simple pizza & wine dinner.


The name “Juventutem” itself is the Latin word for “youth” (in the accusative case) and it appears in the opening prayers of the traditional Mass.  Through the actions of Juventutem Michigan, more than two hundred different young adults have attended Traditional Latin Masses around the state of Michigan since our founding in March 2012 – stories of the first nine months.

Please complete this form to assist Juventutem Michigan in planning for the 1/25/13 Sung Pontifical Mass with Bishop Perry in D.C.,  together with the clergy and young adult (18-35) social which will follow the Mass.  Please complete this form if: (a) you plan to attend the Pontifical Mass and/or (b) during November/December 2012, you would like to help advertise this Mass to Catholics who may be attending the 2013 March for Life.

Please help us promote the Pontifical Mass and young adult social that we have organized at the upcoming March for Life!   We have needs for singers and for donors that can best be met by pre-planning and outreach.
